THE ONCE AND FUTURE PLANET

ARTIST STATEMENT:

A windswept, deserted Earth. Once a lush, green planet, covered with water, wildlife and plants; becoming barren of life as we know it. Man is a plague upon this planet. We must reverse years of abuse.

The butcher block paper is used as a metaphor for the surface of the planet, while images of the slot canyon represent the desolate remains.
